Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(NUAA) in Nanjing, China, established in 1952,enjoys a well-balanced development of multiple discipline in modern engineering and technology , management sciences ,natural sciences, humanities and social sciences with the characteristics of aeronautics ,astronautics and civil aviation. NUAA consists of 12 colleges. It offers a wide range of programs including 33 undergraduate programs. The total number of registered students is 28,300.Among them 16,000 are undergraduates,6700 postgraduates,111 overseas students and 5500 part-time students. NUAA has a staff of 2720,among whom 1387 are academic faculty and researchers. There are 230 professors, 537 associate professors. NUAA now has 2 campuses :Minggugong Campus(situated on the remains of the ancient Ming Palace) and Jiangjunlu Campus (situated in Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone),covering an area of 173 hectares with a building floor spaces of 650,000 square meters.The library has a collection of over 2,000,000 volumes. NUAA offers English-Media Based Programs for International Students. These programs use the same course syllabus, follow the same requirements, and take the same homework and tests as Chinese speaking classes. Best teachers (most of them have oversee degrees or teaching-abroad experiences) are assigned to these classes. Students will build a solid foundation of all the fundamentals of engineering science and Business. The following programs are available in English: 1. Aeronautical Engineering 2. Mechanical Engineering 3. International Business Although these programs use English as the class instruction language, the Chinese lessons are obligatory to all students of these programs. Excellent Indonesia students take advantage to study Undergraduate degree with English Teaching Medium while learn Chinese Language in the same time at Nanjing University Aeronautics & Astronautics in China. At the end of the day, they are able to speak Chinese & English and graduate from Chinese University without spend more years only learning Chinese Language before be admitted to undergraduate degree.
